Breton born contemporary artist Jahuice’s creative approach is a perpetual search for mineral materials in motion and idealized light.
Through controlled gestures and materials in either fluid motion or suddenly solidified, landscapes and forms emerge, with lines and colors dynamically interacting.
Emptiness holds as much importance as fullness, much like the silences that punctuate a symphony.
Here, the infinitely small meets the infinitely large.
In his paintings, Jahuice also explores emotions, contemporary issues, and the absurd and violent aspects of society with a distinctively off-beat, sometimes harsh, often ironic tone, yet always with a sense of hope for human nature.
Breton d’origine, la démarche créative de Jahuice est la recherche perpétuelle de la matière minérale en mouvement et de la lumière idéalisée.
C’est du geste maitrisé, de la matière en mouvement ou brutalement figée, qu’émergent des paysages et des formes où le trait et la couleur sont associés et composés en une partition dynamique.
Les vides comptent autant que les pleins, comme les silences qui entrecoupent les sons d’une symphonie. L’infiniment petit rejoint l’infiniment grand.
Dans sa peinture, Jahuice aborde également l’actualité, les faits de société absurdes et violents en appuyant de manière décalée, crue parfois, ironique souvent mais jamais sans espoir sur la nature humaine.
